Blessed Be the Lord God

Zechariah had been silent for months. Then, filled with the Holy Spirit, his first recorded words were not about himself, his miraculous son, or even his own restored speech.

They were about Jesus.

That alone teaches us something significant. The Holy Spirit delights in magnifying Jesus Christ.

Zechariah praises God because He has visited His people, redeemed them, remembered His covenant, and restored sinners through His Son. Every promise God ever made finds its fulfillment in Christ.

That means our confidence today does not rest in our circumstances, our feelings, or even our own faithfulness.

It rests in God's faithfulness.

When we understand that truth, worship becomes more than singing on Sunday. It becomes a lifestyle. We begin trusting Him instead of ourselves. We stop striving to earn His acceptance and instead joyfully serve Him because we have already been accepted in Christ.

Before you begin your day, pause and ask:

"Will Jesus become more visible because I was here today?"

Whether you're at work, at home, at school, or with friends, the Holy Spirit desires to glorify Christ through your life.

That is how restored people bless the Lord.
